This game was much more contested as St. Nicks started off the better team, keeping Wickwar inside their own half for much of the opening 15 minutes. Despite Harry Lear's efforts to try and break through the St. Nick's defence, they were very resilient and held their ground well. However, as Wickwar started to get a grip on the game, Harry Lear found himself through on goal to slot home off the post giving Wickwar a much needed one goal lead. Mitchell Smith then gave way to Curtis Walker, who after 10 minutes on the field found himself weaving in and out of defenders to smash in from 20 yards which gave Wickwar a comfortable 2-0 going into half time. Wickwar couldn't get their passing game going as St. Nicks kept up the pressure on the Wickwar defence. When the second half came, Wickwar came right out of the traps as they became a completely different team. Felix Lambert and Jake Wall started to dominate in the middle of midfield, whilst Harry Lear and Keiran Carter started to link up nicely when the ball was around the St. Nicks penalty box. Wickwar then looked dangerous as they had complete control over the game, and were allowed to play their passing game. Mitchell Smith was playing some lovely football on the left wing as he was floating balls into the box. With 15 minutes into the second half, Harry Lear was brought down after a lovely piece of skill in the box, he also converted to make it 3-0 to Wickwar, and 4 goals in 2 games for the club. As changes were made with Jamie Rowe and Rob Brett coming on, Wickwar started to dominate and keep possession as St. Nicks got frustrated. From then on the game became an exhibition for Wickwar and they passed the ball fantastically, and with that came Mitchell Smith's cross which found and unmarked Lewis Jackson at the back post to head home. Wickwar then played out the last 20 minutes, as they had a substantial lead, and were once again playing some very good football.
Wickwar's Man of The Match was Harry Lear.
